Gearbox Warranty

The Randolph right-angle gear drive is covered by a limited warranty for a period of one (1) year from the date of installation, provided installation occurs within three (3) months of the original sale date. This warranty applies to defects in workmanship, design, and materials when the unit is operated under normal service conditions and within its rated capacity, and is subject to the conditions outlined below.

During the warranty period, Randolph Manufacturing will replace any defective parts at its facility. All transportation costs associated with the replacement are the responsibility of the customer.

The replacement of defective parts, as described above, constitutes the buyer’s and user’s sole and exclusive remedy for any loss or damage arising from alleged negligence or defects in workmanship, design, warnings, or materials. This limited warranty does not apply to drives that have been subject to abuse, neglect, accident, misuse, improper installation, operation beyond the rated horsepower of the drive, or operation beyond the rated thrust bearing capacity. (The thrust capacity should be confirmed with the pump manufacturer whose equipment is used in conjunction with the drive.) Non-reverse protection is not guaranteed under this warranty.

This warranty does not extend to bearings, accessories, machinery components, or other items manufactured by parties other than Randolph Manufacturing at Proton Engineering. It is provided in place of all other warranties, express or implied. Randolph Manufacturing expressly disclaims all other warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

This limited warranty, and the exclusive remedy it provides to the buyer and user, shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of New South Wales as in effect at the time a claim is made.
